Electric arc furnace electrodes refer to the conductor material which is heated and melted by the electric arc furnace in the form of releasing electric energy to the charge, which is mainly made of petroleum coke and needle coke as raw materials and coal pitch as the binding agent, through calcination, batching, mixing and kneading, pressing, roasting, graphitization and the final CNC processing. According to its quality index, it can be divided into regular power graphite electrodes, high power graphite electrodes, and ultra-high power graphite electrodes.

(1) The phase sequence of the electric arc furnace electrode is correct, in the counterclockwise direction.
(2) Distribute the scrap evenly in the steel furnace, and place the large scrap at the bottom of the furnace as far as possible.
(3) Avoid the presence of non-conductive materials in the scrap.
(4) Electrode column and furnace roof hole centering, and electric arc furnace electrodes column-parallel, furnace roof hole wall should be cleaned frequently to avoid residual steel slag accumulation and forced to break the electrode.
(5) Keep the tilting system of the furnace in good condition to keep the furnace tilting smoothly.
(6) Avoid clamping the electrode gripper on the electric arc furnace electrode connection and electrode connector hole.
(7) Select joints with high strength and machining precision.
(8) Appropriate torque should be applied when connecting electric arc furnace electrodes.
(9) Prevent mechanical damage to electrode hole threads and connector threads before and during electrode connection. (10) Prevent steel slag or foreign matter from being embedded in the electrode holes and joints to affect the screwing.
